How many hurricanes happen there?
When was the last hurricane in the dominican republic?
I was told by a friend the best time to go there is in september, when hurricane season starts because things are much cheaper at that time of year.

Why not just go to the North Coast? We have never had a hurricane hit in 68 years that they have been tracking them.

Last year there was a hurricane after the end of hurricane season so the dates of the season are not written in sstone.

Prices are lower in off season so you won’t get a better bargain unless there is a world wide calamity and tourism is way off such as a 9/11 type of event.

hurricane season starts in June. I go to the dominican republic every year at the end of july and for the most part, we have been good. if you are looking for a place to go, i reccommend the ibero star bavario in punta cana. it is gorgeous!
